Background

Academic Gateway is a Swiss private school in Zurich that provides high-level academic training to prepare students for university admission. The school prioritizes academic success and offers flexible learning options, including both classroom and digital education. With small class sizes, students receive personalized support and learning tools to help them excel in exams such as the Swiss Matura and Passerelle University entrance tests.

Challenge

Academic Gateway relies on multiple software solutions to manage its online learning processes. However, these products often lack adequate technical support and don’t meet the school’s requirements. Besides, the client was initially uncertain about choosing a third-party video hosting service and even considered developing their own platform from scratch. 

Initially, Academic Gateway hired another company to develop the Asismo platform, but they failed to meet their obligations. Given the success of the previous collaboration with Mitrix, Academic Gateway chose our company as a technological partner for the Asismo project.

Video hosting
Video hosting
Several platforms, including YouTube, Vimeo, and White Label, were evaluated for video hosting. To meet Academic Gateway's needs, our team integrated YouTube with customized filters and settings to disable unnecessary features for regular users. All hosted videos remain private and are accessible only to specific students via Asismo.
